The Island of Hawaii (called The Big Island or Hawaii Island) is a volcanic island in the Pacific Ocean and one of the eight main islands that comprise the U.S. state of Hawaii. The Big Island is the largest island in Hawaii. It is 4,038 square miles, and has 5 volcanoes, with one still erupting. Hilo is the island's principal city. Like all the other splendid amenities of the Resort, the 18-hole Jack Nicklaus signature Hualalai Golf Course has been crafted with extreme sensitivity to the land. Winding over 7,100 yards, this carefully groomed course begins in a lush kipuka (oasis) and then flows across brilliant green fairways contoured against black lava. Finally, the course returns to the ocean, where the finishing holes capture the drama and the beauty of direct seaside golf. After an exhilarating game, relax in the clubhouse where tropical refreshments, ocean views and a club-away-from-home experience await you.

Cultural Center

Located below the Resort lobby, Ka‘upulehu Cultural Center offers interactive programs and interpretive resources and displays to create a living picture of Hawai’i’s environment, culture, history, traditions and arts.

Dining

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai features three restaurants:

Pahu i’a
The hotel’s signature restaurant is open for à la carte or buffet breakfast as well as dinner. Diners enjoy panoramic ocean views from the open-air dining room. The restaurant serves contemporary Pacific Cuisine, with a menu changing daily to utilize the freshest island ingredients.

Club Grille
This open-air, casual dining room serving lunch overlooks the palm-tree-filled greens. Low, black-lava walls line the lanai, and an outrigger canoe is suspended over planters in the middle of the dining room. In addition to sandwiches and salads served daily, the menu includes traditional Japanese and Filipino rice and noodle dishes.

Beach Tree Bar & Grill
Fresh island seafood and salads are served all day in this casual open-air waterfront dining room. Two theme buffet dinners—Surf, Sand, and Stars Barbecue on Saturday and Asian Night on Wednesday are served weekly.

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai features 243 Guest Rooms, and Suites. All rooms have balconies, except the ground floor rooms which have patios. Maximum Occupancy is 3 persons allowed per room, varies by suites.

Golf Oceanview Guest Room
Located in Ulu Terrace area with views of 18th fairway and distant ocean views. One king bed or two double beds. Decorated in "Hilo Custom Petroglyph" pattern or tropical "Banana" pattern and soft colors with dark slate floors, rich wood accents and plantation shutters leading to private furnished patio or lanai. King bedrooms have rattan chaise lounge; double bedrooms have "sugar cane" lounge chairs. Granite topped dining table. Blackwood armoire/dresser.

Partial Oceanview Guest Room
Guest rooms are spacious standard rooms offering easy access to the pools and gardens. They offer partial views of the Pacific Ocean, and are located on the lower level of the bungalows, which have outdoor gardens with lava rock showers adjacent to the bathrooms (on request only); the granite bathroom offers a deep soaking tub and separate glass-enclosed shower.

Oceanview Guest Room
King bed or two double beds. Located in bungalows 2-8, 10-12, 14-16, 19-23, 26-3. Decor features "Hilo Custom Petroglyph" pattern or tropical "Banana" pattern in muted colors with dark slate floors, rich wood accents and plantation shutters opening to private furnished patio or lanai. King bedrooms have a rattan chaise lounge; double bedrooms have a "sugarcane" lounge chair. Granite-topped dining table and blackwood armoire/dresser.


Oceanview Prime Guest Room
Upstairs rooms overlook pool terrace and have prime ocean views. One king bed or two double beds. Decorated in "Hilo Custom Petroglyph" or tropical "Banana" motif in soft colors with dark slate floors, rich wood accents and plantation shutters leading to private furnished patio or lanai. King bedrooms have rattan chaise lounge; double bedrooms have "sugar cane" lounge chairs. Granite topped dining table. Blackwood armoire/dresser.

 

Ocean Front Guest RoomOcean Front Guest Room
One king bed or two double beds. These rooms are located in bungalows closest to beach and ocean. Private patio or lanai and ocean views. Decorated in soft colors with either "Hilo Custom Petrogylph" motif or tropical "Banana" motif. Dark slate floors, rich wood accents and plantation shutters. Rattan chaise lounge or "sugar cane" lounge chair. Blackwood armoire/dresser. Dining table with granite top and woven leather chairs.

Executive Suites

Executive Golf Ocean 1-Bedroom Suite
These one bedroom suites have variable views, spacious furnished lanais or patios, and sliding wooden doors separating bedroom from living area. 1,124 square feet. Deluxe one-bedroom suite occupies one side of a one-story bungalow and totals 2,600 square feet. Ocean views. Outdoor shower. Huge living areas, furnished lanai or patio. Original artwork and custom furnishings, including bamboo bed with draped canopy headboard, wicker and rattan sofa, camelback lounge chair and ottoman, chaise lounge, armoire. Master bathroom plus second bathroom with shower. Connecting room available to create two-bedroom suite.

Presidential Villas

Presidential Villa 1 Bedroom Suite
The Presidential Villa occupies Bungalow 32 and offers up to three bedrooms and 3.5 baths adjacent to white sand beach. 4,900 square feet. Oceanfront views, private furnished lanai and spa tub. Custom furnishings, including bamboo bed with draped headboard, blackwood armoire/dresser, bamboo spindle sofa and glass-topped dining table with rattan dining chairs.

Presidential Villa 2-Bedroom Suite
The Presidential Villa occupies Bungalow 32 and offers up to three bedrooms and 3.5 baths adjacent to white sand beach. 4,900 square feet. Oceanfront views, private furnished lanai and spa tub. Custom furnishings, including bamboo bed with draped headboard, blackwood armoire/dresser, bamboo spindle sofa and glass-topped dining table with rattan dining chairs.

Presidential Villa 3-Bedroom Suite
Located in Bungalow 32 next to the beach, the Presidential Villa consists of one, two, or three bedrooms, with up to four bathrooms. (Entire villa totals 4,900 square feet.) Oceanfront. Large lanai with spa tub. One-of-a-kind antiques and unique furnishings, including custom bamboo canopy bed, wicker and rattan furniture, black bamboo dining table, white oak entertainment armoire, and Hualalai chaise lounge of kiln-dried hardwood.

Room Amenities
Room amenities include: air conditioning, bathtub/shower, 100% cotton oversized bath towels, CD player clock/radio, coffee maker, down pillows, duvets, hair dryer, in-room
safe, private bar/refrigerator, toiletries, complimentary twice-daily housekeeping, 2 or more telephones. Non-allergenic foam pillows available, thick terry bathrobes/lightweight
100% cotton robes also. There is no charge for a rollaway bed or crib. Rollaway bed is only permitted in king-bedded rooms; not allowed in rooms with double beds.

Spa Services

The Hualalai Sports Club and Spa is uniquely Hawaiian, reflecting the islands' aloha spirit. The lap pool, whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms and cold plunges are all set amidst tropical gardens. Exotic spa treatments or massage can be enjoyed in the open air, secluded behind bamboo screens. The locker facilities offer both indoor and outdoor showers.

Spa services are available to guests 14 years and older.

In-Room Massage and Spa Services
All massages, except for the hot rock and wet treatments, are available in guest rooms for an additional fee.
