AOTE Kids
Program (Ages 4-7)
The youngest Ambassadors enjoy their own adventures of discovery
with AOTE Kids. Programs are customized for children aged four to
seven and include guided nature hikes, beach and mangrove walks
and team building activities. They also explore with computers and
scientific tools and enjoy their own wading pool with a squirting
turtle.
AOTE Youth Program (Ages 8-18 )
The
Ambassadors of the Environment Youth program focuses on providing
entertaining exploration in four major areas:
The coral
reefs surrounding the Cayman Islands are considered some of
the most spectacular in the world. These are explored through
snorkeling, photographing and studying favorite fish and using
the interactive mural to learn how reef life is interconnected.
Participants also follow the migratory journey of Ambassador,
a 300-pound loggerhead sea turtle sponsored by the program,
a reflection of Cayman's effort to preserve these giant endangered
creatures. At Stingray City, young guests will discover the
world's most popular snorkeling spot.
The Cayman
Islands' mysterious mangroves a jungle gym of trees that
bridge land and sea, provide a habitat for an amazing variety
of animal, plant and sea life. Ambassadors explore in kayaks,
produce multimedia presentations on this complex universe, create
mangrove-themed art and discover how these resilient trees convert
salt water into fresh.
Ambassadors
also adventure through the woodlands, wetlands and wildlife
of the islands themselves, discovering the native forests, with
their Grand Cayman parrots and Wild Banana orchids, visit the
Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park, hike the craggy iron shore
which is a stark contrast to the lush wetlands, use digital
cameras to photograph their favorite species and even go stargazing
with the program's telescopes.
Both at
the resort and through field trips to major attractions, Ambassadors
also discover the human history and customs of the Cayman Islands,
especially the culture's intimate connections with the sea.
They visit museums and historic sites, learn traditional thatching
techniques, construct classic Caymanian toys, listen to stories
and even learn to cook Cayman style.
Also for Teenagers
Ambassadors of the Environment offers teens a place to hang out
in the evening. Check your e-mail, play on the computer or watch
videos, all compliments of Ambassadors of the Environment. From
5 to 9 p.m. A parent's release waiver is required.

Blue Tip,
a Greg Norman-designed nine hole golf course.
One of the most
eagerly anticipated features at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman
is the Greg Norman golf course, Blue Tip. Open only to guests
and Residence owners of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, Blue Tip
will deliver fiercely on its shark pedigree.
Sure to be dubbed
a "nine-hole Caribbean monster", the course will rouse
golfers with its five long Par Fours into the Caribbean trade
winds, which can make a 470-yard hole play like 600.
The 3,515-yard,
par 36 course offers five sets of tees for varied play. Blue Tip
features five long Par Fours and a 600 yard Par Five. Water comes
into play on eight out of nine holes. Carved along a serpentine
waterway with sweeping views of the North Sound, Blue Tip at The
Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman is the first course to be constructed
on the island in 10 years.
Blue
Tip enhances the guest experience with its Golf Caddie Concierge
Program. This provides a professional attendant to accompany each
golfing group and cater to every wish before, during and after
the round. In addition to offering advice on precise yardages,
club selection and strategy in handling tricky Caribbean trade
winds and water, the caddie cleans clubs, rakes bunkers and repairs
divots. The recommendations are particularly handy on the tough
Ninth Hole, a short Par Three playing into crosswinds, with an
island green guarded by four bunkers and in full view of resort
guests at the pool and Periwinkle by Eric Ripert restaurant.
The Caddie-Concierge
will assist the players in many ways, including:
Provide course
strategy
Locate golf ball
Provide accurate yardage
Repair ball marks
Rake bunkers
Clean golf clubs
Educate guests on the unique aspects of Grand Cayman
Provide assistance with food and beverage needs
Ensure players have the most unique on-course experience
Blue Tip also offers a pro shop, private and group instruction
and rental equipment.

Blue By Eric
Ripert
The voyage into the deep transparent Caribbean waters will be
a discovery of seafood. In the grand tradition of Le Bernardin,
fish is elevated from the perfect to the sublime when every activity
in the kitchen centers on maximizing the promise of its quality
and freshness. Guests in this fine dining restaurant can descend
the resort's grand staircase to the modern dining room or be seated
on the terrace where the waterway views and North Sound breezes
bring them one step closer to the sea.
Periwinkle
By Eric Ripert
Whimsically named for a tiny mollusk that lives on the land but
must be very near to the sea in order to thrive, Periwinkle pays
homage to the restorative powers of simply prepared seafood. Ripert's
Mediterranean heritage imbues the palette of this high energy
al fresco grill with seating on either the covered terrace or
under the sun and stars. Herb-infused flavorings are delicate
and subtle. Only the finest sea salt and olive oils will be allowed
to mingle with the fish that will have traveled from boat to plate
inside 42 hours.
7
Warm and welcoming with direct access off West Bay Road, 7 will
serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner 24/7/365. Caramelized hardwoods
and coral toned fabrics add a dash of West Indian spice to the
restaurant that takes its name from one of the Caribbean's most
famous beaches.
24-hour Room service is available.
