There are only 13 letters in the Tahitian alphabet, and most of the letters are pronounced the same as English. The vowels are pronounced as follows:

A as in 'far'
E as in 'day'
I, similar to 'e' in 'see'
O as in 'sold'
U as in 'solitude'
