Geography: Cozumel is a flat island off the coast of Mexico fringed with white sand beaches, and reefs. Playa Del Carmen is located on the Yucatan peninsula in southeastern Mexico. Regarding cruises, ships tender tour members to the mainland city of Playa Del Carmen for excursions to Tulum, and other popular archaeological sites, prior to the ship docking at the island of Cozumel.
