What to expect!

America's 50th state (1959) greets your arrival to paradise. She offers an exotic atmosphere, warm ocean waters, lovely beaches, cultural experiences, diverse activities, shopping, nightlife, history, adventure, and other vacation opportunities. The pace of life in the Hawaii is slow, and remember you are on vacation . . v a c a t i o n . . . relax and vacate from your daily fast-paced and/or stressful environment!

When to go!

Hawaii offers nice weather year-round. The following are typical seasons:

Peak Season:
(1) Mid-December to April.
(2) Accommodations are limited during Japan's 'Golden Week', 3 weeks beginning the last week in April.
(3) Mid-June to August, when a large number of families travel during the summer, therefore the rates are less favorable
Low Season: May to mid-June; September to mid-December

Average Temperature:

Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec
79° 79° 80° 81° 82° 84° 85° 86° 86° 85° 82° 80°

Where to go!

In addition to all Hawaiian Islands offering a cultural experience, beaches, and water sports, each island offers unique vacation experiences:

Oahu (Waikiki): Shopping, Nightlife, History (Pearl Harbor), Polynesian Cultural Center, heavy tourist population, volcanoes.
Maui:

Luxury-level resorts, Golf, rain forests, volcanoes, pounding surf, sandy beaches, and whale watching opportunities.
The Big Island: Rain forests, volcanoes, pounding surf, sandy beaches, and whale watching opportunities.
Kauai: Golf, rain forests, volcanoes, pounding surf, sandy beaches, and whale watching opportunities.

Getting There!

Hawaii is accessible by air, and by sea. Although there are a minimum number of cruise ships sailing on one-way cruises to/from Ensenada, Mexico, and Vancouver to Hawaii, most vacationers fly to Hawaii. Honolulu is a 5 hours and 30 minute flight from Los Angeles.

Where to stay!

Regarding Waikiki/Honolulu, there are many resorts ranging from 'on the beach' to a few blocks from the beach. Since the Sheraton Moana Surfrider was the first resort in Waikiki, therefore they selected the best location, and it is considered the center of the resort area. There are a few hresorts located on the beach, most resorts are located from 'across the street to the beach' to '2-blocks from the beach', with the latter offering more economical-friendly rates.

All-inclusive resorts, commonly found in the Caribbean and Mexico, are not prevalent in Hawaii.

Resorts are commonly located on the beach in Maui, and the other islands.

Other Expenses!

Dining in Hawaii is expensive because most goods are shipped to Hawaii. If your resort is centrally located on Waikiki, the International Marketplace offers dining and shopping options.

Hawaii Vacation Packages include transfers (airport/ resort), or a car rental. The car offers greater flexibility, but expect to incur a daily parking charge for the rental car at the resort car.

Many resorts on the island of Maui charge a $10.00 per day per room resort fee.

Aloha!
Paradise Awaits You!
