Geography: Tahiti is located halfway between Los Angeles, and Sydney, Australia. Tahiti is the largest of the 118 islands and atolls that comprise the country of French Polynesia. The islands are scattered over 1-1/2 million square miles of ocean.

Pareos: a leisure garment (parong or wrap) consisting of brightly colored hand blocked or painted fabric. Pareos are about 80 inches long and 40 inches wide and are worn by both men and women. They are wrapping in various styles.

Auto Rental:

In addition to the Four-wheel Jeep Safari Excursion in Moorea, rent an automobile for a day self-tour of the island. It allows more flexibility for photography, shopping, and beaches.

On Bora Bora, renting 'funcar' (slightly smaller than a 'doom-buggie') would enable you to circle the island in 4 hours, including stops for photography, and shopping. 8-hours allows you to enjoy the beaches.
